Ty Shalom House Palliative Care Centre was established in 2007. Their aim is to provide care for people with a life limiting illness and also support for their families and friends. Go to www.shalomstdavids.org for information Shalom House opened its doors in 2007 after a decade of fundraising in Pembrokeshire led by Margaret Burnett MBE, their founder trustee. Starting with Day Care one day a week this has developed today into the Palliative Care Unit offering Day Care Monday through to Friday and in-patient, respite and end of life care, all week and all year round.
The route has been finalised and we now have 3 routes – the yellow route is pushchair and wheelchair accessible – on path and roads. The blue route follows the yellow for the start and then breaks off towards the coastal path from Caerfai to Porthclais – it then re-joins the yellow route. For those who want a little bit extra there is a red route that takes you back on the coastal path from Porthclasi to Porthlisky Beach before heading inland to join up with the yellow and blue routes before they all head back to St Davids and the RAFA Club – please note if you pull out return to the RAFA Club and inform the event organisers.
All the proceeds raised are in aid of Ty Shalom House.
